Grab the PS5 Slim for $424 for Black Friday

Sony’s PS5 Slim is being discounted well below its normal price as an early Black Friday deal over at Amazon. If you don’t already own a PS5 and you aren’t keen on paying the higher $699 price for the Pro model, this is a deal that’s too good to pass up.

Normally the PS5 Slim costs $499.99 at its full retail price. However, Amazon has it discounted for an early Black Friday deal that brings the price down to just $424. This is the lowest we’ve ever seen the PS5 Slim since Sony launched it. Additionally, it’s the all-time low price for this model according to price tracking data from Camel Camel Camel. And that right there is a good enough reason to buy one at this price if you haven’t upgraded from your PS4 yet.

The PS5 Slim is essentially the same as the PS5 save for a few details. For starters, it supports a removable disc drive. This is also the model that comes with the disc drive. While you’re likely to be using the disc drive for physical games pretty often if you’re buying this model, it’s nice that you can remove it if you ever want to tuck it into a smaller space.

The console also comes with a 1TB SSD and a DualSense controller. In addition, you’ll get the necessary cables for HDMI and power to get everything up and running. Which means you’ll be ready to play games in no time.

However, the vertical stand is sold separately. So if you want that, it’s not part of this deal that Amazon is offering. Another nice thing about the PS5 Slim is that it has slightly more storage for games than the original model. Plus, you can still add an NVMe SSD to the expansion slot if 1TB isn’t enough for you.
