The Vivo X200 Pro is one of three smartphones the company announced today. It launched alongside the Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro mini. This phone will remain the company’s most powerful device until the Vivo X200 Ultra arrives, presumably next year.

The Vivo X200 Pro has been announced as the company’s most powerful smartphone yet

This handset is made out of metal and glass. Its frame is flat all around. Its display is ‘Quad Curved’, which means micro-curved. In other words, it’s mostly flat, but it curved at the very edges, at a 90-degree angle. There is a display camera hole inside the display too. The bezels are very thin and uniform. The back side is mostly flat, but it does curve at the corners, the same as the display.

On the back, you’ll also notice a large round camera module. There are three cameras inside of it, which are backed by ZEISS and come with the company’s T* coating to minimize glare.

A 6.78-inch QHD+ (2800 x 1260) LTPO AMOLED display is on offer here. That panel offers an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, while HDR10+ content is supported here.

MediaTek’s new flagship SoC is used here, along with ZEISS-based cameras

MediaTek’s brand new Dimensity 9400 chip fuels this smartphone. Both 12GB and 16GB RAM (LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM) variants are available, while 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage models are on offer. Storage is not expandable, by the way.

A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s LYT-818 sensor, 1/1.28-inch sensor, OIS, f/1.57 aperture) is backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (f/2.0 aperture, 119-degree FoV). The third camera is a 200-megapixel periscope tele-macro unit (f/2.67 aperture, 3.7x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom, OIS). A 32-megapixel front-facing camera is also included.

A large 6,000mAh battery is in use, and the phone supports 90W charging

You can find a 6,000mAh battery on the inside, while the phone supports 90W wired and 30W wireless charging. Stereo speakers are a part of the package too, while the phone is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. The Vivo X200 Pro measures 160.36 x 75.95 x 8.2mm, while it weighs 223 grams.

The Vivo X200 Pro was announced in four different variants. One 12GB RAM model was announced with 256GB of storage. That model costs CNY5,299 ($747). The 16GB RAM model comes in 512GB, and two 1TB models. The latter actually supports satellite connectivity in China. The price tags of those three models are CNY5,999 ($846), CNY6,499 ($917), and CNY6,799 ($959). If any of these models make it to global markets, they’ll have different price tags.
