Ernie Ball Music Man has just dropped the Sabre HT. This new 2024 model blends the classic Sabre design with serious tech, making it perfect for traditional and modern players.
Sabre HT
The custom Music Man HT pickups are the heart of the new Sabre HT. Thanks to their heat-treated pole pieces and large ceramic magnet, these bad boys deliver incredible tone and responsiveness.
Every Sabre HT guitar has two humbucker pickups. The bridge pickup is always a Heat Treated model, while the neck pickup is a unique Music Man design.
Boost & Buffer
The push-push adjustable boost and transparent buffered output allow you to dial in the perfect sound. A trim pot allows you to adjust the boost to taste, up to a maximum of 20dB.
Adding these two useful features makes these guitars super versatile and great for all styles of music.
Style
The Sabre HT looks as good as it sounds. Its contoured Okoume body and thick flame maple top are a sight to behold, while the roasted figured maple neck and 22 stainless steel frets make it a dream to play.
Finish Options
They are available in Slymer, Grape Slushie, Blackout, and Honey Bear finishes. The guitar features high-quality Schaller locking tuners for precise tuning and a Music Man Modern tremolo with a crescent-shaped cover and bent steel saddles for exceptional stability and playability.
Development
EBMM developed HT pickups in 2022, claiming they were “inspired by over a decade of electric guitar string research.” They were based on their extensive work on guitar strings, such as the Cobalt and M-Steel Slinky ones.
Verdict
It is certainly interesting to see this heat treatment technology being used to develop their pickup line.
EBMM already makes some pretty amazing guitars, so it will be interesting to see what guitarists think of these new Sabre HT models.
They look great in the four colour options, especially with those flamed maple tops.
MSRP – USD 3799
