Jimmy Fallon claims Donald Trump encouraged J.D. Vance to not be himself before third-party debate.
Later in the night on “The Tonight Show,” Fallon commented that the vice presidential debate largely consisted of “bad people in the national scenario” — adding, “We usually call it 'Dancing with the Stars.'” “.
He then headed out to a quiet evening, at Vance, for a stimulating virtual conversation with Trump before the debate.
“Trump actually tried to encourage his vice president before the debate,” the broadcaster said. “He told J.D. Vance, 'Don't worry, that's not how you are.'” (Naturally, Fallon wore his Trump impression for a moment.)

It wasn't just Vance who had Fallon behind him. He also criticized Kamala Harris' partner, Tim Walz, who will be nervous about going to the terça-fira event.
“Before the debate, Tim Walz was nervous, thinking Kamala Harris would disappoint,” the host said. “Sim, Harris said, ‘Don’t worry, if Joe Biden can be replaced, you can too,’” Harris said.
The “Tonight Show” host also chimed in on two fact-checking failures during the discussion. This post was short for a stretch of tweets about how the last debate was verified: people working quietly while Harris failed and a room full of people getting caught up in chaos while Trump failed.
This double-checking was also a point of contention during the discussion itself. At one point, moderator Margaret Brennan criticized Vance for falsely describing the Haitian community in Springfield, Ohio, as “illegal aliens.”
“Margaret, once we know you won't check your facts.” He then explained in detail the process through which some immigrants can apply for asylum.
This confusion occurred with the loss of his microphone as Brennan pointed out the irrelevance of his argument.
“The audience can’t hear you because their microphones are cut off,” she said, adding: “We have a lot to do.” “We are obligated to explain the legal process.”
