Despite the film library's poor performance, Megalopolis star Aubrey Plaza has received many positive reviews for her performance as Wow Platinum's financial correspondent — and the interview published by the New York Times on Sunday is an indication, this is print worthy. “It was crazy to work on a movie,” she explained. “My mentality every day was: ‘Everything for himself; “It's all for himself. 'Once you're strong, we'll survive here.'
Plaza confirmed that filming with Coppola was unexpected. The manager could tell her, “Next dinner, have an orange,” or he could make a suggestion from his waiter. “There were days when he stopped or started thinking 'we're ready to start filming' and instead Francis said: 'I'd like to play,'” he said.
The actress decided to remain a non-platinum person outside of the group. “Mesmo no car, caminho daquele set,” she said, “and turned into Uau.” “The EU will say: 'Okay, I'm scared now, I'm having a nervous breakdown like you,' but no. She can handle anything. And it's like a lamp: 'It's time for Uau.'
Indefinite improvisation was also essential to success. Otherwise, “you would be eaten alive.”
Plaza also told the channel that her colleague Jon Voight suggested she save or photograph her dinners because they could be used. Plaza followed his advice and she and Shia LaBeouf collaborated to come up with a solution to a dinner that ended up not being photographed.
“It took a long time, but I finally found what I was looking for, which was that Francisco spoke to me in a really inspiring way and not about the end result,” she said.
