eufy, one of the leading names in the smart home and video surveillance segments, has launched the eufyCam S3 Pro. The device builds on the capabilities of the eufyCam 3 and adds other new advanced features, such as color night vision technology.

MaxColor Vision enables color night vision on the eufyCam S3 Pro

The MaxColor Vision technology could be the eufyCam S3 Pro’s main selling point. MaxColor Vision uses a special combination of artificial intelligence and special hardware to deliver crisp, colorful images even in nighttime conditions. The technology is built around a 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor with a bright f/1.0 aperture and a powerful ISP.

There’s also an Adaptive Spotlight system for clearer images by always seeking the optimal level of illumination. Adaptive Spotlight even saves power by absorbing more light instead of using extra image processing. The eufy app allows users to manually adjust the brightness of the spotlight. Plus, there’s a Radar + PIR dual detection technology designed as a filter to prevent irrelevant motion from triggering alerts. According to the company, the technology reduces false notifications by up to 99%.

The eufyCam S3 Pro is capable of capturing sharp details even at considerable distances. The company claims that the camera will allow you to easily see a car’s license plate from up to 40 feet (12 meters) away. With energy efficiency in mind, a complementary snapshot-based monitoring system allows you to review activities and events through periodic snapshots taken throughout the day. This uses much less energy than playing videos.

Solar-powered and a built-in big battery

The product includes a solar panel that keeps it fully charged by one hour of sunlight per day. The panel uses SolarPlus 2.0 technology, making it up to 50% more efficient than those used in previous models. The camera also integrates a 13,000 mAh battery capable of keeping it powered for up to 365 days. Plus, there’s room for an additional removable solar panel if you need it.

A dual microphone array enables the eufyCam S3 Pro to capture human voices from up to 26.2 feet (8 meters) away. The company integrated an AI-based sound model to eliminate background noise and deliver clearer audio. Users can set a loud siren or voice warnings to sound when the camera detects intruders.

All content captured by the eufyCam S3 Pro is stored locally too. There are no monthly or hidden fees to catch you off guard. The device comes with 16GB of internal storage, but you can sync it with the HomeBase S380 control center to access its expandable storage of up to 16TB. The HomeBase S380 will also enable the AI BionicMind feature with face and body detection.

Price and availability

The eufyCam S3 Pro is available in a bundle of 2x cameras + 1x Homebase 380 for $549.99. You can check out all the details on eufy.com. It is also available on Amazon.
