The captain of the destroyer USS John McCain, Cmdr. Cameron Yeast, has been removed from his command several months after a viral photo emerged of him holding a rifle with a rear sight, according to a Marine Corps press release.
The embarrassing photo was shared on social media in Marina last April, showing you in a shooting position with the gun fixed to your side. The USS John McCain is part of the USS Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group. It recently joined the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, following the assassinations of Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh in al-Tira and senior Hezbollah official Fouad Shukr in Beirut.
Israel claimed responsibility for Shukr's assassination and has attempted to carry out more attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon. West Jerusalem has neither confirmed nor denied involvement in the killing of the Hamas chef.
