If the design looks familiar, it’s because it is. This design on its own tells us that the Huawei Watch GT 5 is coming. It does look like an evolution of the Huawei Watch GT 4 design. On top of that, some teasers have been making the rounds in China lately, mentioning the Huawei Watch GT 5.

Considering that the Watch GT 4 arrived back in September 2023, this makes all the sense in the world. The Huawei Watch GT 4 is one of my favorite smartwatches to date. I reviewed it back in January, and it’s still holding up today.

The Huawei Watch GT 5 is almost certainly the watch in question

The Huawei Watch GT 5 is next in line. Its body also won’t be a perfect circle, due to design reasons. It will have a similar body to the Watch GT 4, it seems. In the bottom-left corner of the provided image, you’ll see a white-colored watch with a different shape, though.

That watch is also the Watch GT 5, but a smaller one, mainly catered to women. It will have a different body shape, it will be more of a circle than the larger model. It will be a bit smaller, but just as powerful, if I have to guess.

As per usual, this smartwatch is expected to include some new fitness features, to place it above the Watch GT 4 in the pecking order. We’ll get all the details on September 19, so stay tuned. As a reminder, Huawei is also hosting an event on September 10, in China, for the world’s first tri-fold handset.
