Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 FE or Fan Edition smartphone has been the subject of several leaks and reports lately. We have already seen the design of the new offering, thanks to a handful of images that leaked earlier. The phone was also spotted in the database of the benchmarking app Geekbench, which shed some light on its SoC. Now, the Galaxy S24 FE has been certified by Bluetooth SIG.

Bluetooth SIG certification suggests we’re getting closer to the Galaxy S24 FE’s launch

The Galaxy S24 FE has been certified by Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) under the model number “SM-S721U”. It is said to be the phone’s variant for audiences in the United States. The certification confirms the Galaxy S24 FE moniker associated with this particular model number.

The Bluetooth SIG details surfaced after the device was recently certified by India’s BIS agency. Unfortunately, the Galaxy S24 FE’s Bluetooth SIG filing doesn’t reveal anything about the specifications of the affordable flagship. However, it does indicate an imminent launch soon.

Leaked specs of the Galaxy S24 Fan Edition flagship

According to Geekbench’s listing, Samsung could fit the Galaxy S24 FE with an underclocked variant of the Exynos 2400 SoC. The chipset will offer a peak clock speed of 3.11GHz, as compared to 3.2GHz of the Exynos 2400 processor. The benchmarks also suggest the phone will have a Samsung Xclipse 940 GPU and 8GB of RAM on the base model.

The handset is also expected to borrow some Galaxy AI functionalities from its higher-end siblings. It could have AI features like Generative Edit, Live Translate, Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, and more. We can also expect it to boot Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 version out of the box.

Furthermore, the leaks claim the Galaxy S24 FE will offer a larger 6.7-inch display. The screen panel will provide a maximum brightness of 1,900 nits and a high refresh rate for a smooth scrolling experience. A 4,565mAh battery is expected to keep the whole package running. If the reports are to be believed, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S24 FE at some point in October.
