Realme’s 320W charging tech can fully recharge a smartphone in no time

Realme has officially announced its 320W charging tech. It’s called ‘320W SuperSonic Charge’, and it can fully recharge a smartphone in no time. It’s basically the fastest charging tech for smartphones… even though it’s not used in a smartphone yet.

Realme announced its 320W charging tech which is immensely fast

As part of the announcement, Realme demoed how this charging can fully replenish a smartphone with a 4,420mAh battery in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Yes, you read it right, under 5 minutes.

This tech can charge up that very same battery to 26% in only one minute. Reaching a 50% charge takes less than two minutes, the company said.

The company said that it dedicated two years of research to reach a perfect balance between high power, compact size, and guaranteed safety for fast charging.

This even trumps Redmi’s 300W charging

With this tech, Realme even trumped Redmi. Redmi demoed its 300W charging tech a while back, which can fully charge a 4,000mAh battery in 4 minutes and 55 seconds.

Realme also revealed its 320W power adapter called ‘Pocket Cannon’. It has a power density of 3.3W/cm3. It’s actually similar in terms of size to Realme’s 240W charger, which is quite a feat.

What’s even better is that this Pocket Cannon charger also supports mainstream charging protocols. It supports UFCS (up to 320W), PD, and SuperVOOC. It can also charge two devices at the same time, it has two USB-C ports.

Realme also announced the ‘AirGap’ Voltage Transformer

In addition to this charging, Realme also announced the ‘AirGap’ Voltage Transformer. It features contact-free electromagnetic conversion for smartphones. That way it ensures high voltage remains isolated from the battery during circuit breakdowns and similar issues.

This transformer is smaller than a fingertip, and it reduces the voltage to 20V. Realme says that it helps maintain “exceptional conversion efficiency and thermal management”. This enables 320W SuperSonic Charge to achieve power efficiency of about 98%.

Folded battery, solid-state button & anti-reflective display were also presented

The company also showed off a 4,420mAh folded battery. It has four cells, and each of them are less than 3mm thick. It also provides a 10% increase in capacity over regular designs.

That’s not all, though. Realme also introduced a solid-state button and an anti-reflective display for smartphones. That display minimizes reflections by up to 80%, says Realme.
