Tecno Phantom V2 Fold and V2 Flip’s design details leaked

Tecno is planning to launch the successors of the Phantom V Fold and Phantom V Flip foldable smartphones in the near future. The upcoming devices called the Phantom V2 Fold and Phantom V2 Flip have already been certified by various regulatory authorities. Most recently, the book-style Phantom V2 Fold arrived on the Google Play Console.

Now, the Phantom V2 Fold and V2 Flip’s alleged renders have leaked, revealing some details regarding their design.

Tecno’s next foldable phones will sport a significantly different outer design

In the leaked images, only the partial designs are visible. However, we can still see that they will offer a significantly different outer design. The Phantom V2 Fold’s circular rear camera module seems to be replaced by a square one.

As for the clamshell-style Phantom V2 Flip, it appears the phone will flaunt a significantly larger outer display. The camera and flash units of the handsets appear to be vertically within the cover screen. It’s quite different from the predecessor, which has a circular cover display, which also houses the camera and flash units along its edges.

That said, the upcoming V2 Flip will provide a much larger secondary screen estate, so you can do a lot more without opening it.

The Phantom V2 Fold and V2 Flip leaked specifications

If the reports are to be believed, the Tecno Phantom V2 Fold will have the same processor as its predecessor. The phone is said to utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM. The Phantom V2 Flip, on the other hand, is rumored to pack a slightly upgraded Dimensity 8050 chipset. Its predecessor currently utilizes the Dimensity 8020 SoC.
