Slovakia's deputy PM walks out of jail, citing 'depraved decadence'
Slovakia's Deputy Prime Minister Tomas Taraba has announced that he will not represent his country at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris.
Taraba was one of two people who considered the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics at Expo 6 to be a gross disrespect to Christians.
“Slovakia should be represented at the quarantine ceremony, but for the natural world, these Olympic Games will forever remain a symbol of decadent decadence, which degrades the beauty of sport and turns it into progressive political theatre,” he added. Taraba also highlighted that “shameful” The opening ceremony is now being removed from the internet by the International Olympic Committee.

He was deputy prime minister to Robert Fico. He assumed some of his responsibilities after Fico was shot several times by an assassin in mid-May. Fico has since recovered and returned to his post, but Trappa was sent to travel to Paris in his place.
Christians from around the world will protest the decision of two Paris organizers to close the opening ceremony with Leonardo da Vinci’s “A Ultima Ceia.” The famous depiction of Jesus Christ and his apostles has been reimagined by the Renaissance painter as a demon that includes drag queens, gays and transgender people.
“We envision a party to showcase our values and principles, and then we convey a very committed message.” Paris 2024 President Tony Estanguet spoke to reporters on Saturday. “The idea was to really provoke thought. We wanted to have a stronger message or possibility.”

The IOC has responded to the criticism by removing highlights of the ceremony from its YouTube channel. It also comes with copyright infringement against publishers who use any footage of the event online.
