The Vocal De-Esser is an intuitive low-latency vocal correction processor. Using an AI-assisted detection system with machine learning, the engine will reduce sibilance within the human vocal range.
Without affecting the tonal quality or character of a vocal signal, the detection engine targets the unwanted frequencies to give you a more pleasing overall vocal sound.
The interface has clear metering and a frequency spectrum that also shows the threshold of the De-Esser. Meanwhile, the processing is split into two main controls: One that hones in on ‘S’, ‘Sh’, and ‘Z’ sounds, and another for harsh ‘T’, ‘Ch’, and ‘K’ sounds.
The De-Esser controls can be linked for consistency and you can solo the sibilance being processed to ensure you are hitting the right areas. In addition, to the left of the main controls is the magic wand button that starts the AI analysis of the incoming vocal signal.
Once this process is completed, it then displays the recommendation for the threshold setting that you can either apply or use as a guideline for making your own manual adjustments.
