ASRock, the Taiwanese company specializing in PC components, has launched new scale-up servers with the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture. The servers are part of its Computex 2024 lineup, which also includes new motherboards, GPUs, gaming monitors, and processors. The firm will showcase these products at the upcoming computer expo in Taipei, Taiwan. The event runs through June 4 to 7.
ASRock unveils its Computex 2024 lineup, including new servers
ASRock’s Rack ORV3-NVIDIA GB200 NVL72, a liquid-cooled rack, is based on NVIDIA’s new GB200 NVL72 scale-up system. It boats NVIDIA NVLink technology connecting 36 NVIDIA Grace CPUs and 72 NVIDIA Blackwell Tensor Core GPUs to create a massive GPU. The solution is suitable for faster real-time inferencing of large language models (LLMs).
Additionally, the company launched a direct-to-chip liquid-cooled GPU server, the 6U8X-GNR2/DLC NVIDIA HGX B200, with the NVIDIA HGX B200 8-GPU system. It will push the limits of the thermal design power (TDP) of NVIDIA’s Blackwell GPUs. But if you don’t have a liquid-cooling infrastructure, ASRock has the air-cooled 8U8X-GNR2 NVIDIA HGX B200. The latter also incorporates an NVIDIA HGX B200 8-GPU.
The Taiwanese firm’s next server product to debut at Computex 2024 is the 6U8X-EGS2 NVIDIA HGX B100 GPU server. It boasts the NVIDIA HGX B100 8-GPU system and can be a drop-in replacement for its HGX H100 infrastructures. In other words, it can facilitate transitions from one to other compatible ASRock servers—namely, the Rack 6U8X-EGS2 NVIDIA HGX H100 to the 6U8X-EGS2 NVIDIA HGX B100.
On top of these, ASRock introduced a new lineup of Taichi & Phantom Gaming Series motherboards called the robust Steel Legend, powered by Intel and AMD. The company plans to reposition the Taichi brand as its flagship offering. This shift will merge its existing OC Formula and AQUA product lines. ASRock has also readied solutions for gaming, content creation, workstations, and AI with Intel and AMD under the hood.
New GPUs for the AI era and flagship gaming monitors
ASRock’s Computex 2024 booth also exhibits the ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX WS 24GB and ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XT WS 20GB graphics cards aimed at multi-card parallel computing and artificial intelligence (AI) acceleration. They feature a VAPOR-CHAMBER heatsink, an efficient blower fan, and a 2-slot thickness. The company has equipped the GPUs with a single horizontal 12V-2×6 power connector.
In the gaming monitor category, ASRock debuted the PGO32UFS2B, a flagship offering with a 32-inch OLED panel. It has a unique dual-mode design—a UHD 240Hz mode and an FHD 480Hz mode. depending on their needs. It also boasts a cooling design that reduces potential burn-in issues. The PG27FFX2A, meanwhile, is the world’s first 27-inch 520Hz refresh rate IPS gaming monitor. It features a built-in Wi-Fi antenna for signal enhancement. All of these products should be available to purchase in the coming weeks.
