The Sennheiser HD 620S is a new closed-back headphone design in Sennheiser’s audiophile range, offering comfort and quality audio performance.
This time, Sennheiser has drawn from the open-back 600 series, with a 42mm dynamic transducer that delivers incredible clarity and articulation across the whole frequency range.

This is also made possible with the aluminum voice coil that has an impedance rating of 150 ohms. Therefore, the HD 620S is capable of producing a detailed sound with fast transient response and vast dynamics.
In addition, the slight angle to the transducer design produces a wide stereo image allowing you to immerse yourself in your favourite albums, games, movies, and series.
The idea behind the HD 620S is to provide well-isolated audiophile listening and reduced ear fatigue without the often boxy characteristics associated with closed-back headphones.
Overall, the metal-reinforced design screams longevity, with its solid construction and detachable 1.8-meter cable. What’s more, the HD 620S will also allow the use of the optional balanced 4.4mm cable for hi-fi audio devices, coming this summer.
Pricing and availability:
The HD 620S is currently available for order from Thomann.
The hi-fi community has clamored for a headphone with the best traits from our 600 series, yet isolates them from distractions at work, home, or in between. Not only does the HD 620S deliver on that promise, its immersive imaging and brilliant impulse response make it an exceptional listening experience for every situation where a higher level of performance matters.
