Following the RedMagic 10 Pro series launch in China, one device has just arrived to global markets. RedMagic basically announced the RedMagic 10 Pro+ globally but gave it a RedMagic 10 Pro name.
The RedMagic 10 Pro goes global following its China launch
Spec-wise, this is one of the most powerful smartphones out there at the moment. Before we get down to specs, let me just say this is a gaming phone, and let me talk about its design.
The phone is made out of aluminum and glass, and it has flat sides all around. It has the thinnest bezels on the market (1.25mm), and they’re also uniform. It also has the highest screen-to-body ratio at 95.3%.
This handset does not have a display camera hole or notch, it includes a selfie camera below the display. That raises its screen-to-body ratio, and also makes the phone very immersive, which is ideal for gaming.
There are three cameras included on the back and has advanced cooling. RedMagic actually used liquid metal for cooling here, in addition to a huge vapor chamber, and a physical fan.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite fuels the phone, while RedMagic uses UFS 4.1 flash storage here
The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. That chip is backed by 12GB, 16GB or 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. This is the first time RedMagic brought a 24GB RAM phone to global markets. There is also the Red Core 3 AI chip for gaming here, RedMagic’s very own.
The phone features a 6.85-inch 2688 x 1216 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The peak brightness here is 2,000 nits, while the phone has a high touch sampling rate (2,500Hz), much higher than regular smartphones.
A 7,050mAh battery is also a part of the package, not to mention that the phone supports 100W wired charging. Yes, a charger also comes with the phone in the retail box.
There are shoulder triggers included here, for gaming, and also LED lights
This handset also has a pair of shoulder triggers on the right-hand side, for gaming, and it has a special slider that is customizable, but it’s mainly meant to be used for gaming. There are also LED lights on the back, in the top-right and bottom-left corners.
An in-display fingerprint scanner is included here, as are stereo speakers. Bluetooth 5.4 is also on board, as is Android 15. Google’s OS comes with RedMagic OS 10 on top of it.
A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.9 aperture, 1/1.5-inch sensor size, OIS, PDAF) is backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (f/2.2 aperture, 1/2.88-inch sensor size, 0.61um pixel size) on the back. A 2-megapixel macro camera (f/2.4 aperture) is also placed back there. A single 16-megapixel camera (1/3.06-inch sensor size, f/2.0 aperture) sits under the display.
Four different variants have been announced
The phone comes in Shadow (12GB RAM + 256GB storage), Moonlight (16GB RAM + 512GB storage), Dusk (16GB RAM + 512GB storage), and Dusk Ultra (24GB RAM + 1TB storage) variants. The pricing for those four models is $649/€649, $799/€799, $799/€799, and $999/€999, respectively. The devices will become available to purchase on December 18 from the company’s official website.
