Strictly Come Dancing's two biggest professionals are in danger of being let go in a big move.
One year after the beloved BBC show was hit by a series of scandals, sources now claim the chefs are planning to create a new generation of young dancers, with five experienced names at risk of being eliminated.
Among those on the precipice are Nadia Bychkova, Nell Jones, Karen Hauer, Gorka Marquez and Katja Jones, four of whom have already been eliminated from this year's competition.
Currently, Katya is only competing on Strictly this year, but she is already embroiled in the 'apalpação' scandal with her celebrity partner Win Evans.
Some of Strictly Come Dancing's biggest pros, including Nadia Bychkova, are risking becoming chefs in a big shake-up.
Those who are credited will be on the back burner with Nadiya Bychkova, Neil Jones (pictured), Karin Hauer, Gorka Marquez and Katja Jones, the four who have already been eliminated.
A source at The Sun said: “Revisiting training has always been about a fresh start and will always be influenced by the dancers who have performed so well in this series.
“There is a feeling that the Strictly Band is made up of some broken stars and some rising stars.
“In many cases, there are people whose positions could easily be filled by younger, more promising colleagues. It's difficult, but it's part of the traditional business of show business.
A Strictly Come Dancing representative did not want to comment. MailOnline has contacted representatives for Nadia Bychkova, Neil Jones, Karen Hauer, Gorka Marquez and Katja Jones for comment.
It was previously reported in July that some of Strictly's two biggest professional names had been axed, so the chefs are planning to attract some new, young names.
A source told The Sun: “There are concerns that being unprogrammed will make you more open to feeling undirected and untouched.
“It's not a dated agreement and it's not just about showing that the gas doors are older or that they've been in service for more time. This will be a carefully considered process, taking other factors into consideration as well.
Before adding: “The fact that the BBC is considering making big changes and drawing new blood is a sign that it is prepared to move forward and make every effort to ensure nothing else happens.”

Currently, Katya is only competing on Strictly this year, but she is already embroiled in a scandal with her famous partner Wyn Evans.
Strictly's historic 20th year was marked by scandal, after actress Amanda Abbington unexpectedly left the show last October, after her partner Giovanni Perenice claimed he had abused her. He was later acquitted of ten of the 16 charges against him.
The show was then hit by a new wave of scandal when Graziano Di Prima was sacked in July for “firing” his Love Island co-star Zara McDermott.
On the other hand, it was also reported that his colleague Johannes Radebe will be making a drastic departure at the end of the series.
The South African dancer, who has become a two-time favorite since entering the show in 2018, has two big projects coming up in 2025, and sources now confirm that her schedule is very open to return to the dance floor.
Johannes will star in Kinky Boots: The Musical for the first seven months of the year and is also working on a film adaptation of his life story.
The dancer is currently paired with wrestler star Montel Douglas, and the duo must make it to the end.
However, it has also been reported that his colleague Johannes Radebe will be going to work at the end of the series (pictured with Montel Douglas).
A source told The Sun: “Johannes is very dear, he has no program and is not upset about his departure.
“Obviously the chefs will probably try to find a way to track it back at some point and will definitely consider coming back.”
But in the meantime I have a lot to do with others. Not only are you working on our announced projects, but there are other opportunities in the pipeline that you can now fully explore.
A Strictly Come Dancing representative declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline. A representative for Johannes Radev has been contacted for comment.
From January to July, Johannes will play the lead role in the touring production of Kinky Boots the Musical, written by pop legend Cyndi Lauper.
He is scheduled to perform more than 200 shows in the UK and Ireland in 25 different cities, from Dublin to Plymouth and Brighton to Edinburgh.
