8Bitdo’s new Hall Effect controller falls to $40

8Bitdo makes tons of gaming peripherals and it’s dropping the price on its new Ultimate Wireless controller for Amazon Prime Day in October. This new version of the Ultimate 2.4G wireless controller is regularly $49.99, but today’s sale is bringing that price down to $39.99. This is the first time this controller has been on sale before so this is an all-time low price for it. We think that’s a pretty good deal, especially when you consider everything you get for just $40.

Let’s start with the fact that the new 8Bitdo Ultimate wireless controller comes with Hall Effect joystick upgrades. If you’ve ever had a controller that ended up with stick drift, you know how much it ruins the gaming experience. This won’t be an issue with the 8Bitdo Ultimate. As the Hall Effect sensors basically prevent those issues. It gets better though. The HE sticks are just one great feature. 8Bitdo also packages this controller with a charging dock. So you have a nice and convenient way to charge the controller once you’re done with it for the day.

To put things into perspective, there are some charging docks that cost almost as much as this controller. Here, you’re getting the controller and the dock for just a bit more. The 8Bitdo Ultimate features remappable back buttons too, and a turbo button if you like using those in certain games. There’s even a button for custom profile switching. I use this with a controller so I get different mapped back buttons for different games, and it’s an awesome feature to have. The controller comes with a 2.4GHz USB adapter as well, and you can use it through Bluetooth.

So that makes it compatible with PC and consoles. You can even use it with mobile devices. At $40 this is a steal, and an incredible deal if we ever saw one.
