Don't Show Again Yes, I would!

Xiaomi 15 Ultra design appears with 1-inch main & 200MP telephoto cameras

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is not expected to arrive until next year, but its design and some additional details just appeared. First of all, do note that the design comes in the form of sketches placed in a single image, and not from our usual sources. So, take it with a grain of salt.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra design has surfaced, along with its camera sensors

With that being said, if you take a look at the image below, you’ll see the alleged device. It seems like Xiaomi plans to retain a camera oreo on the back, but with a different camera layout.

The periscope telephoto camera will sit next to the Leica branding up top. Below that, you’ll see a trio of other camera sensors, which are the main, ultrawide, and regular telephoto units (not in that order). Some additional sensors are placed below, possibly a laser autofocus, LED flash, or something of the sort.

The company’s branding will also sit on the back of the device, in the bottom-left corner. Considering this is a sketch, we don’t really know if the back side will be flat or not, the same goes for the front. We also cannot see the frame on the side, so we don’t know the curvature of it.

You can clearly see that the corners of the phone will be rounded. A display camera hole is also visible on the phone’s display. The middle sketch also shows the camera sensors themselves, you can clearly see that the main one is in the middle.

A 1-inch main camera is expected, along with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera

Speaking of which, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is tipped to use a 1-inch main camera. Sony’s LYT-900 camera sensor will be used, with OIS and variable aperture. The periscope telephoto camera on the phone is rumored to be Samsung’s ISOCELL HP9 sensor. The same sensor the Vivo X100 Ultra uses.

Xiaomi is expected to use Sony’s IMX858 sensor in both ultrawide and telephoto cameras, so we won’t see a change in that regard compared to its predecessor.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 aka Snapdragon 8 Elite is expected to fuel the phone. A 6,200mAh battery is also rumored, along with blazing-fast charging. Android 15 will come pre-installed with Xiaomi’s HyperOS skin.

A 2K AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz will sit on the front. That’s basically everything we know up to this, or think we know. The Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro are tipped to arrive on October 20, by the way.
