You could argue that Clockmaker is already a Halloween game. After all, it’s set in the spooky Victorian period and it features an evil sorcerer who’s keeping an entire town under a curse.

But developer Belka Games is upping the Halloween ante with a month-long event, beginning on October 4th and running all the way through to November, when the bone-chilling nightmare of Halloween will finally be over for another year.

Here’s what happened.

A mysterious invitation has been circulated in Clocksville for a Halloween party at a creepy, derelict mansion. Everybody in Clocksville is absolutely on board with this proposal.

On the night of the party, guests receive a bizarre message and then start disappearing, at which moment detective Sherclock steps forward to solve the case—ably assisted by Miraldina, a brave and clever witch.

You have a part to play, too. Through the event you’ll be able to take part in a number of different activities, accumulating rewards, bragging rights, and happy memories in the process.

The Tournament of Champions event lets you climb a leaderboard by collecting pumpkins, while earning various Halloweeny rewards, gems, and other prizes at the same time.

Pumpkin Hunt, meanwhile, lets you collect special tickets by completing puzzle stages. With these tickets you can make your way around a special board collecting gems, boosters, and in-game bonuses.

Next on the list is Pump-King’s Mire. This super-tough event tasks you with completing levels without being defeated. There’s a grand prize on offer for anybody sharp enough to pull it off.

Last up, Spooky Changes takes the pressure off by letting you decorate your location with spooky decorations. Oh, and complete match-three puzzle stages.
