The One Club for Creativity’s ONE Asia Creative Awards makes history this year by for the first time bringing its judging event to Manila, showcasing the rich diversity of Asia Pacific’s creative talent.

From in-person judging to partnerships with major industry events and publications, ONE Asia embraces APAC’s vibrant cultural mosaic by selecting Manila as its judging location. This year’s awards will unite the region’s best creative minds and recognize the strong contributions of the local Filipino ad community.

Hosting judging in Manila reflects ONE Asia’s commitment to engage with and celebrate local cultures across the region. Leading creatives from 14 countries will converge on October 10-12 to judge the region’s best work of the year, with esteemed members of The One Club International Boards of Directors facilitating the discussions.

“Manila is our first choice because we’re deeply moved by the passion and strong sense of family brought by the local ad community,” said Tay Guan Hin, newly appointed APAC Regional Director at The One Club. “It’s also testament to our commitment to support local independent agencies. We are excited to take ONE Asia on a journey, traveling to different APAC countries every year, celebrating and recognizing the diverse talents spread across the region.”

Design of all materials at ONE Asia 2024 Manila judging will be made by Filipino creative boutique agencies Leron Leron Sinta, Sgt Pepper, and Tony &, in collaboration with Manila creatives Auggie Fontanilla, Nikki Golez, and Raymund Sison.

Leron Leron Sinta collaborated with local artist Auggie Fontanilla to create a key visual for the judging that captures the essence of Filipino culture and creativity.

“The visual elements showcasing the Philippines’ flora and fauna, religious elements, and vibrant fiesta atmosphere were chosen to reflect how Filipinos welcome guests into our homes, with the best we have to offer and unparalleled hospitality,” said Dionie C. Tañada, founding creative partner, Leron Leron Sinta. “This collaboration enables us to honor local culture and creativity, and extend a warm welcome to the region’s best creatives who will serve as judges.”

ONE Asia-DMAP DigiCon partnership
ONE Asia has also partnered with the Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines (DMAP) on DigiCon 2024, the premier event for the Philippines’ marketing, advertising, and digital sectors. Taking place from October 15-16 in Newport City, DigiCon serves as a beacon for cutting-edge trends and digital innovation.

Key speakers at DigiCon, along with their topics, include:
Angela Bassichetti, Head of Creative Shop, APAC, “Innovation Labs on AI.”
Masaya Asai, Chief Creative Officer, Droga5 Tokyo, “Brand Building in the AI Age.”
Tay Guan Hin, APAC Regional Director, The One Club for Creativity, “Revolutionizing Impactful Brand Storytelling for Sales.”
Kyungsin Pablo Kim, CEO, Paulus, “From Logic to Magic.”

“DMAP is thrilled to welcome ONE Asia to Manila for the 2024 Digicon and Digital Young Creatives (DYC) competition,” said Manny Gonzales, President, DMAP. “This partnership is a powerful celebration of creativity in the digital age, showcasing the incredible talent and innovation thriving across the Philippines and the entire APAC region. This is a valuable opportunity for Filipino creatives to be inspired by global leaders, exchange ideas, and demonstrate the world-class caliber of their work.

Gonzales believes the collaboration will ignite a new wave of creativity, pushing the boundaries of digital marketing, technology, and innovation, and further elevating the Philippines’ position as a creative force. “We look forward to expanding our work with ONE Asia in the years to come,” he added.
