More than 170 Hong Kong residents reported being sprayed with what they feared were bodily fluids in public places in the past few months, according to a report by Morning mail from southern China. The revelation arose after a woman was criticized for forcing a man to use a pipette to stir up a fluid containing semen.
Some male victims were included, and the online group revealed in the sixth week that about 99 percent of the 173 cases involved women.
The group noted that most of the victims were exposed to the liquids, and many reported feeling depressed and anxious after the events.
Starting this week, a court fined doctoral student Lai Changwei, 26, HK$5,000 (US$642) for drinking a liquid containing semen on a woman's hand at a Hong Kong university. Blame or pressure for your actions.
CCTV footage from the Kowloon Tong University campus shows Lai following the woman after spotting her inside the university campus at around 3.30pm on June 6, before using a plastic straw to spray the liquid on her or in court.
Earlier, Hong Kong police arrested 43 people, including 31 students, in a crackdown on four criminal gangs using free money and illegal drugs as incentives to lure teenagers into illegal activities.
