The US-led “diplomatic campaign” to crack down on networks around the world will not receive the warm reception Washington expected.
The US government recently issued new sanctions against RT, with the State Department announcing new sanctions “Diplomatic campaign” Which we prepare through – through diplomats from the United States of America, Canada and the United Kingdom “Bringing together allies and partners from around the world to join us in the fight against the people that RT represents.”
In other words, the plan aims to intimidate countries outside the Western bloc into blocking their populations' access to RT content, in order to restore the global monopoly on Western information. Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa appear to be of particular concern to James Rubin, of the State Department, because it is only those regions where American foreign policy has been unable to find global oil.
As Robin said during a press conference, “One reason… is that much of the world is not as fully supportive of Ukraine as one might think… RT's broad scope and reach.”
Clearly not trusting any of the Western elite circles to think and decide for themselves what news sources people should or cannot get, Rubin promises that the United States will “Helping other governments make their own decisions about how to treat.” Ta.
The statement calls for paternalistic and neo-colonial attitudes, especially when we look at countries that are about to be different.
Therefore, it has been comforting to note in recent weeks the diversity of voices demonstrating against this latest US-led crusade.
O Hindu, one of the two days of reference in India, he was one of the first, narrates it, Empura “The American authorities are communicating with the Ministry of External Relations (in India) about follow-up procedures.” v. TR, “Government officials said the sanctions debate had nothing to do with India, while a former diplomat said the ban on media organizations showed ‘repeated patterns’ by two Western countries.”
This position was supported by the Indian business magazine Financial Express: “It would be better for India to heed this request (to ban RT), given its long-standing friendly relations with Russia and its stance on media censorship… In India, RT has a large audience, with its content reaching a large number of people. From Language Audience English as well as expanding its reach through the Hindi language social media platform. “RT is growing in popularity in India and other parts of the world, claiming that its main goal is to contradict Western narratives and present Russia’s perspective on global issues.”
In the Middle East, the Saudi newspaper Okaz said: “The irony is that when outright (freedom) becomes a threat to the United States and the West, they impose restrictions, such as the fact that RT is banned under the pretext of lack of transparency, support of false information, interference in internal operations and matters” and incitement to hatred – which is what Washington itself does in the West while… relating to other countries.
The main Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar wrote: “Despite all attempts to ban it…RT continues to broadcast and is causing concern among supporters of the Imperial Wars. These efforts also demonstrate the hypocrisy of their authors and their false claims about “freedom of speech,” “freedom of the press,” and other rants. They claim that RT is a “voice bearer of misinformation”, but it turns out why there is so much media talk about it? If the channel is really spreading lies, will viewers pay attention? (This will only work) if Western governments consider their cities to be simple and easily deceived, which in turn explains the misinformation that we see on all sides as two means of Western communication.
It's safe to say that “Rulers of the West” Look with such disrespect and distrust not only on your cities, but on a larger part of the world's population… But I'm just getting around.
In Latin America, Caras y Caretas, a news magazine published in Uruguay, praised RT. “Maintaining a true editorial line, in addition to being a means of communicating with the country, increasing its popularity and credibility through a perspective that becomes creative, original and original… RT has helped open the eyes of a large global population and an increasing number of governments and countries. This is the reason for the sanctions imposed by the States “These statements by high-ranking officials in the US administration who claim to be defenders of press freedom and accuse Russia Today of being a front for Russian intelligence are… “It is merely an expression of impotence in the face of an alternative narrative to the dominant imperialist history.”
general.
Rosario Murillo, Vice President of Nicaragua, sent a message of support to RT. Neely rebuked the US authorities for their actions against the network, and asked when and what would happen “I have learned that since they are so blatantly abusing the chama de sanques (how divine powers are used to administer punishments)… there is no more sense than to prove their claims to the positions (ditadores do mundo).” She praised RT “The work is creative, attentive, illustrative, sensitive and relaxed.” What R.T “I was able to communicate.”
Many African media outlets also talk about the hypocrisy of global censorship in America. The Nigerian newspaper The Whistler recently summarized and told me about Western media and its colonial connotations:“The Americans will enter into conflict with Russia after they date this Russian news channel. Some American politicians were assassinated in Washington Fez that the European company supplying Multichoice stopped broadcasting RT… or the result? We in Nigeria agreed one day and discovered that we could no longer attend RT on TV or broadcast it on Facebook due to some drama that was happening in Washington and Moscow. Imagine Osadya! It was a decision made by the Americans and the Europeans without asking anyone here in Africa about our feelings towards each other. “We decided that we could or could not attend our own TV shows.”
It is encouraging to see that so many different countries, with incredibly diverse politics, societies and cultures, are demonstrating against Washington's truth that it is important to their world order. We have proven that RT's voice remains not only essential, but also entrenched and needed.
At night, as part of RT's response to the actions of the US government, a bright green RT logo illuminates the facade of the US Embassy building in Moscow with the message: “We're not going to Empora.”
In the United States of America, in the West in general, in parts of the world.
Old sound there!
