OPPO is currently working on its new flagship phones, the Find X8 series. This generation is particularly appealing, as the Find X8 Ultra will bring all of its camera power to the global market, unlike its predecessor, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra. Geekbench now lists the OPPO Find X8 Pro with a powerful MediaTek chipset. Recently, the vanilla OPPO Find X8 appeared on the same benchmark platform.
Geekbench confirms Dimensity 9400 chip for the OPPO Find X8 Pro
Leaks surrounding the OPPO Find X8 Pro suggested that the brand would be betting on the Dimensity 9400 chip instead of Snapdragon hardware. The new entry found in Geekbench appears to confirm this. The benchmark shows a CPU with a base clock speed of 2.40 GHz and a maximum frequency of 3.63 GHz. In comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered devices tested on Geekbench show speeds of at least 4.2 GHz for its most powerful core.
The benchmark results reflect this clock speed difference. The OPPO Find X8 Pro managed to score 2,818 points and 8,847 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. While this is quite powerful, it seems that Qualcomm will take the lead in terms of raw power in the next generation of flagship mobile chipsets. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered Galaxy S25 Ultra reached 3,069 and 9,080 points in the same tests. The OnePlus 13 went even further, reaching 10,049 points in the multi-core test.
More details confirmed
Geekbench shows that the OPPO Find X8 Pro packs 16 GB of RAM and runs Android 15. The rest of the device’s key specifications are currently unknown. However, it is said to have a Satellite Communication Edition powered by the same Dimensity chip. The OPPO Find X8 lineup is expected to include three models: vanilla, Pro, and Ultra. The first two have already received multiple certifications, such as IMDA, EEC, and SGS Fimko.
Plus, a Camera FV5 database entry revealed that the Find X8 Pro’s main sensor will have a bright f/1.6 aperture and a focal length equivalent to 23.8mm. It would be a 50 MP sensor that would capture photos at 12.6 MP by default. Lastly, rumors say that OPPO will launch the series in mid-October, but there is nothing official yet.
