Crafting an emotional backdrop for Qantas, getting Ampol from A to Anywhere, and leading the sound on Cannes winning TOUCH, a motion picture without pictures, are just a handful of the monumental projects delivered by Heckler Sound over the past year.

Celebrating its third birthday, the specialist in music composition, sound design and sonic branding for advertising and film, is marking another stellar year of partnering with leading agencies, brands and production companies to elevate the standards in sound production.

To mark its third anniversary, Heckler Sound has released a new showreel cut by Shots Editor of the Year Andrew Holmes and accompanied by doom metal band Potion’s track Dead Mountain. The reel (below) highlights a sample of the studio’s dynamic work.

Says Johnny Green, co-founder and creative director, Heckler Sound: “The past three years have been transformative for Heckler Sound. We continue to push the boundaries of innovation in sound and deliver a broad scope of work across film, TV and sonic branding that speaks for itself.”

Some key Heckler Sound highlights for the year include teaming up with Saatchi & Saatchi to compose a stunning soundtrack for Ampol’s A To Anywhere; scoring underground ambient, drill inspired music for Kraken with Skate Dark; pulling on the heartstrings for Qantas with Already Proud by blending Tones and I’s hit ‘I Made It’ with raw recordings from the real families and friends of Paris Olympic and Paralympic athletes; and, crafting adrenaline-rush immersive soundscapes paired with original music for Hyundai’s IONIQ 5N 30 campaign.

The award-winning sound house also lent its talents to Voice. Directed by Krunal Padhiar and co-directed by Semara Jose, the film follows Deadly Inspiring Youth Doing Good (DIYDG) on a cross-country road trip as they build grassroots support for the 2023 Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum. A film about activism, hope, resilience and joy, Heckler Sound provided a sound mix to give Voice that last little bit of polish before its premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival, where it was named a co-winner of the MIFF Audience Award.

Says Bonnie Law, executive producer, Heckler Sound: “We’ve worked on three feature films over the past 12 months which demonstrates our commitment to dive further into longform, as we continue to hit high notes for campaigns led by some of the best creative minds at production companies and agencies we admire and look forward to working with every day.”
