The Sheeran Loopers Busker SE may look familiar. That’s because it’s basically a special edition of the already available Alto Busker.
Ed Sheeran seems to like this little PA speaker, and for good reason. It is extremely compact and has many practical features that make it ideal for impromptu performances in pedestrian areas, railway stations, parks and other public places.
Sheeran Looper’s Busker SE mobile PA speaker is a versatile speaker that can be placed on the floor, mounted on a tripod, combined with a subwoofer, or even used horizontally as a monitor.
200W, battery and 6.5″ woofer
The small Speake delivers 200 watts of power and is equipped with a 6.5-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter. The frequency response is 60 Hz to 20 kHz and the max. SPL is 106 dB.
The lithium-ion battery should last up to 24 hours – but that only applies to battery eco mode, which is set to 50W. In standard use, it should last up to 20 hours. The battery takes about 12 hours to recharge.
Sheeran Loopers Busker SE has two XLR/jack combo sockets for connecting microphones, instruments or two line sources (or a stereo source). Phantom power can be activated. There is also a built-in AUX input for 3.5mm jacks.
Bluetooth 5.0 is also included, so two buskers can be connected to a stereo system. On the output side, there is an XLR mix output and an RCA stereo output – so you can record your performance.
Built-in mixer and USB port
The built-in 3-channel mixer in Sheeran’s Busker SE features an Alesis FX processor and effects such as chorus, flanger, delay, various reverbs and even a rotating speaker simulation. The internal DSP offers sound profiles for different applications.
Smart devices can be charged via the USB port. Settings can be made using the free Alto app (for Android and iOS).
