Samsung first introduced One UI 6.1.1 in July alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6. The South Korean tech giant has been pushing the One UI 6.1.1 update to Galaxy phones for quite some time now. Earlier today, the Galaxy S22 series started receiving this update. Now, the company is reportedly rolling out the One UI 6.1.1 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.
The One UI 6.1.1 update starts rolling out to Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 in South Korea
The OneUI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 has started rolling out in South Korea. The update available for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes with a firmware version F721NKSU4GXH7. Whereas, the firmware version for the update coming to Galaxy Z Fold 4 is F936NKSU4GXH7.
It is worth noting that this update also brings the September 2024 security patch to both the foldables from 2023. If you live outside of South Korea, you may have to wait some more days for the update. But, the good news is Samsung might expand the rollout in other regions in the next few days.
If you live in South Korea, you can check your Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 for the update now. To do so, you can go to Settings > Software update. Next, wait for the device to scan for the software updates. Once the update pops up, make sure to tap the “Download and install” option.
Here’s what you can expect after updating to One UI 6.1.1
Although the One UI 6.1.1 update doesn’t bring user interface changes, it adds numerous Galaxy AI features. For starters, One UI 6.1.1 gives users the ability to replace Google Assistant with Gemini. The “Composer” feature now enables Galaxy AI to write emails, and comments with the option to choose a tone for the messages.
That’s not all, the “Suggested Replies” feature lets Galaxy Z Flip users take advantage of Galaxy AI to get context-based responses for messages received on the cover screen. With One UI 6.1.1, you’ll also get the “Interpreter” feature on the foldable Android smartphones. The feature is meant to break the communication barrier between different language-speaking individuals.
Talking of creativity, you can make the most out of features like “Portrait Studio” and “Sketch to Image.” As the name suggests, Portrait Studio turns images of people into different types of portraits. The latter is handy to turn amateur sketches into a fine piece of “art” with the magic of AI. Well, these are just a few Galaxy AI features coming with One UI 6.1.1, there’re plenty more. Moreover, this is a big update that follows the August 2024 security patch received by the Galaxy Z Fold 4 last month.
