One of the best-known tipsters around is back with another piece of Samsung Galaxy S25 information. Ice Universe has just shared the exact camera lens thickness of the Galaxy S25, and compared it to what the Galaxy S25 Ultra will deliver.
Well, we already knew what the ‘Ultra’ was bringing to the table, as he compared its camera lens thickness to what the iPhone 16 Pro Max offers. The Galaxy S25 information, however, is new.
The Galaxy S25 camera lens thickness gets revealed, and it’s thin
If you take a look at the image below, you’ll see a direct comparison between the two camera bumps. The Galaxy S25 cameras protrude 1.8mm from the back of the phone. The ones on the Galaxy S25 Ultra protrude 2.4mm.
This image also shows what was reported yesterday, the fact that the Galaxy S25 will have a different rear camera design. This design will, without a doubt, be a camera magnet. The top part is wider than the stem of the camera protrusion, and dust will easily collect underneath. This will be a pain to clean.
By looking at the image above, you’ll also notice that the Galaxy S25 is considerably thinner than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, in general. Well, it at least looks that way, though the difference is only 1mm.
The Galaxy S25 will be only 7.2mm thick
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be 8.2mm thick, while the Galaxy S25 will measure 7.2mm. It will be extremely thin, and also rather compact on top of that. This could be a rather appealing phone for users who want a more compact device, as Ice Universe highlighted.
With that being said, we’ve recently revealed the designs of both the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25, in case you’d like to check them out. Those two phones, and the Galaxy S25+, are expected to launch in the first quarter of next year. They’re most likely coming in January.
