Create your own monitor mixes with the new Behringer Powerplay P16-HQ, an affordable personal monitor mixer for studio and stage.
The P16-HQ is a new part of Behringer’s Powerplay Distribution System, allowing performers to customize their monitor mixes on stage with its intuitive interface.
Behringer Powerplay P16-HQ
Like the P16-M, the P16-HQ has 16 channels and a 3-band EQ system with a parametric midrange band that can be assigned both per channel and globally. The high-quality DA conversion stage has a dynamic range of 114dB and the output stage has been optimized for low-impedance in-ear monitors and headphones.
The Powerplay Distribution system uses Cat 5e cables, which means you can do low-latency (<1ms) signal routing over long distances. Furthermore, with its ethernet thru port, you can daisy-chain multiple P16-HQ units for convenient setups without losing audio quality.
The controls allow you to quickly mute and solo channels and create your own mix presets to recall later. Meanwhile, the output limiter protects your ear from any potential spikes in level, and there is also a stereo set of outputs for active monitor speakers.
External control is also possible via MIDI, and you have the ability to link and group channels for easy signal management and precise control. Overall, the feature set from the P16-M has been maintained, with a slightly simplified top panel interface layout.
