Hiroyuki Sanada became the second Asian actor to win Best Actor in a Drama Series for his role in the FX series. “Shogun” The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards are not taking place on Sunday. Sanada is also the producer of “Shōgun” and works in close collaboration with the show's creators. If “Shōgun” wins Best Drama Series, a category in which he is a favorite, Sanada will be the first Asian to win an Emmy for acting and producing a drama series.
