The legal director of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics has resigned after LA28 President Casey Wasserman said he would remain president of the organization despite an extramarital affair scandal, TheWrap exclusively reported.
Tanya Olano, who has served as Wasserman’s lead counsel and legal adviser on the city’s Olympic efforts since 2015, left the position after Wasserman announced she would not leave the position, a person familiar with Olano’s decision told TheWrap.
Olano posted his decision to resign in an internal thread at The Sixth Avenue, without giving a reason, speaking to a person familiar with the matter at TheWrap.
A representative for LA28 did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment. Olano could not be found.
