Paralympic GB put on a memorable display in the French capital to claim two gold medals on the final day of the year across the English Channel, with sculling duo Laura Sugar and Charlotte Henshaw taking part in an impressive British conquest.
This meant that Grä-Bretanha finished second in the medal table – for the third time in her recovery period – behind China With a total of 49 gold, 44 silver and 31 bronze medals.
Over 11 days of unparalleled drama, Paralympic GB secured medals in 18 and 19 events involving British competitors, while also winning two more gold medals than in Tokyo three years ago.

Paris 2024 Paralympic Games chief of mission Penny Briscoe said the team's medal haul was a “testament to the talented athletes” of a “special Games”.
“ParlympicsGB has achieved so many frames at these Games that I couldn’t be more proud of every member of the team for their fantastic performances over 11 exciting days of competition here in Paris,” she said.
“To finish these Games with 49 gold medals and a total of 124 medals – more than we achieved in Tokyo – is a test of both the athletes, the coaches and our support staff and the two years and a month of hard and dedicated work they have all put in.
“With every Paralympic Games we see competitions from all over the world getting more and more crowded, so to come home with so many great performances from the whole team is really special.”
