Former NBA star Paul Pierce was considered the face of the iconic Boston Celtics, where he played for the first 15 years of his career before jumping to the league.

Although his last four seasons in the NBA were tough, Pierce was able to do enough during his time with the Celtics to secure a place in the Basketball Hall of Fame, joining his close friend and teammate Kevin Garnett, with whom he won a championship in 2008, beating the Kobe Bryant-led Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals.

Empora Pierce had to wait a long time to finally play when he was a legitimate title contender, and he finally did when he joined Garnett, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo to form one of the best times in league history.

Knowing what it's like to play on a losing team and for a while not leading the NBA, the former champion spoke about how he felt after winning a title with the Celtics.

“When I saw that ring, my walk was different,” Pierce said on “Talk.” “My walk was like, ‘Sim!’ … Before I won the championship, my shoulders were a little bit slouched.”

Unfortunately for Pierce, the star-studded Celtics failed to win another title, despite being one of the Eastern Conference's elite twice during his impressive season.

Pierce and company had another chance in the 2010 NBA Finals, but Bryant and Pau Gasol won by defeating Boston in seven games.
