Eureka has once again revolutionized the robot vacuum industry at IFA 2024 with the introduction of the Eureka J15 Pro Ultra. This innovative model boasts the industry’s first base station with comprehensive self-cleaning capabilities. Existing robot vacuums offer features like self-emptying dustbins and mopping head cleaning, but often overlook a crucial aspect: the base station tray where dirt and debris accumulate after cleaning. The new Eureka J15 Pro Ultra addresses this with a groundbreaking solution.

The Eureka J15 Pro Ultra features a tray scraper, a debris collection area, and a dedicated channel inside its base station. After every mopping session, a built-in scraper automatically removes debris from the cleaning tray and transfers it to the collection area. Once there, the debris will be dried thoroughly and collected into the dust bag during the next cleaning cycle, making manual cleaning completely unnecessary.

Eureka’s J15 Pro Ultra introduces a groundbreaking technology called FlexiRazor, a first in the industry. Instead of relying on stationary blades like most anti-tangle roller brushes, the J15 Pro Ultra employs active detangling technology. This innovative approach effectively slices through hair wrap, preventing tangling and maintaining the vacuum’s optimal performance and efficiency.

The brush is equipped with high-density blades that operate at a rapid speed of 400 times per minute. These blades generate a reciprocating vibration measuring 4mm, encompassing the entire brush to effectively remove wrapped hair.

Currently, one of the best-selling canister vacuum cleaners on Amazon US is the Eureka NEN170, which has a suction power of 16,000 Pa. In other words, the J15 Pro Ultra has a suction power that exceeds that of a regular canister vacuum cleaner. That’s really impressive.

Further enhancing cleaning capabilities, the ScrubExtend swing-arm mopping system extends the mop’s reach, ensuring thorough cleaning of corners and edges. Eureka claims ScrubExtend achieves 98.95% edge coverage with a 1.36mm precision margin. The system maintains consistent downward pressure and has undergone extensive durability testing.

Furthermore, the Eureka vacuum cleaner maintains a constant downward pressure of 7N during both extension and retraction. This feature ensures consistent cleaning effectiveness, particularly enhancing the cleaning of edges and corners.

Eureka’s ScrubExtend technology prevents the mopping arm from bumping into furniture or damaging its motor, ensuring longevity and effectiveness. This innovative swing-arm design utilizes friction generated during mopping to extend and retract the mop effortlessly. Combined with the cushioning effect of soft rubber edges, the motor skillfully avoids obstacles in complex home environments, safeguarding the gear and motor transmission mechanisms. Eureka has conducted extensive testing, including 100,000 extension tests and 36 months of durability trials, to ensure the J15 Pro Ultra’s durability for up to 36 months, even with intensive daily cleaning.

Eureka’s new IntelliView AI can adjust cleaning methods on the fly

Eureka’s robot vacuum is getting a significant upgrade this year with the introduction of IntelliView AI. This advanced technology enables the vacuum to intelligently adapt its cleaning method based on the type of mess it encounters. IntelliView AI can distinguish between dry debris and wet messes, allowing the vacuum to transition seamlessly between vacuuming and mopping as needed. This innovative feature ensures that your floors are thoroughly cleaned, regardless of the mess.

The incorporation of AI features in robot vacuums brings several benefits. Firstly, it eliminates the issue of clumps forming in the dustbin. Unlike most robot vacuums, the J15 Pro Ultra with IntelliView AI can accurately distinguish between dry and wet messes. When it encounters wet messes, it employs an effective cleaning strategy. Instead of using the roller brush, which would carry the wet debris into the dustbin and cause clumping, the J15 Pro Ultra rotates its body to prioritize cleaning with the mop. Additionally, the FlexiRise technology enables the robot to lift the roller brush intelligently. This combination of AI and advanced technology ensures a thorough and efficient cleaning process.

IntelliView AI optimizes the speed of the side brushes to enhance cleaning efficiency. Side brushes often rotate too quickly, dispersing dirt and debris. Conversely, slow rotation can compromise dust removal. IntelliView AI addresses this by detecting dry debris and adjusting the side brush speed accordingly. When dry debris is present, the side brush speed is reduced to minimize scattering. In the absence of dry debris, the side brushes operate at higher speeds to maximize dust removal capabilities.

Eureka’s IntelliView AI can now easily identify stubborn stains. When encountering heavily soiled areas, such as dried tomato sauce or wine stains, the robot returns to its base station. After the initial pass, it washes the mop with hot water and then embarks on another round of mopping and washing. This repetitive process eliminates surface cleaning, ensuring that stubborn stains are effectively removed.

The Eureka J15 Pro Ultra is expected to be available in select European markets in late September 2024 and in the US in November 2024.
