Hugh Jackman took to social media at the fourth show to post a shirtless selfie and detail the training regimen he used to get in shape for Deadpool & Wolverine, adding that he was “greasy” at that shirtless dinner during the height of doing the movie.
Jackman also added a voice message thanking the team who helped the 55-year-old actor get back into superhero form.
“A lot of people talk to me and ask me questions about how to get in,” he said. “So, what did you do, or what did you do, how hard is it to get in?”
“I just wanted to take a moment and say, 'Sim, I have to show up, I have to do these floor lifts, I have to do these repairs, but I have some great equipment that's helped me,'” Jackman added.
“There is no hope of catching him without them,” he repeated.
The Wolverine actor also thanks the equipment maker who was called in to “put some kind of oil on to make the light shine” when the film's director, Shawn Levy, shouted “fresh lube on Hugh” at a shirtless Power Room dinner.
Jackman also explains his water dehydration technique that is commonly used by professional bodybuilders before competitive shows.
“I didn’t have a day, because I was in a bad mood, I didn’t drink water the night before, and I spent days eating tilapia and feijoa and how to make that day work better for me, not everyone was just making it easier.” Limbro.
