The Android 15 Quarterly Platform Release 1 (QPR1) Beta 1.1 update is now available to download for eligible Pixel devices. The new build arrived a week after the Android 15 QPR1 Beta 1 update was released. The last week’s update didn’t include the newly launched Pixel 9 series phones. However, the new Android 15 QPR1 Beta 1.1 update is available for two of the Pixel 9 series models as well.

The Android 15 QPR1 Beta 1.1 build is a minor update

According to the changelog, the Android 15 QPR1 Beta 1.1 build is a minor update to last week’s release. It contains a fix for an issue that could cause a device to reboot unexpectedly. Released on August 29, the new update carries the build number “AP41.240726.010”. The Google Play Services version in the new firmware is still the same “24.26.32” as the previous Beta 1 update.

The Android 15 QPR1 Beta 1.1 update is available to download for many Pixel phones. You can install it on the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro XL, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel Fold devices. However, users of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have to wait for a future release.

The new firmware can be installed by enrolling your Pixel device in the Android Beta Program. Once enrolled, your device will automatically receive the new QPR 1 Beta 1.1 update over-the-air.

The Android 15 stable update isn’t dropping for Pixel phones until October

Recently, Google rolled out the Android 15 Beta 4.2 update for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL smartphones. The update arrived as soon as the new phones started shipping to the early buyers. However, the Android 15 stable update isn’t dropping for the Pixel 9 series and older Pixels any time soon.

Google recently changed the released notes for the Android Beta Exit update. It is offered to the devices that exit the Android beta program. The updated release notes revealed that the Android 15 OTA update will be available for the Pixels in October. The stable build will be released to the Pixel 6, 7, 8, and 9 series devices, possibly by mid-October.
