As usual, expectations are high for the New York Jets this season due to future Hall of Famer quarterback Aaron Rodgers and a strong roster overall.
There are also plenty of critics who say he'll end up underperforming, in part because Rodgers is recovering from a torn Achilles tendon he suffered on his first offensive series of 2023 and has 15 years of wear and tear as a starting defender.
Brett Favre was Rodgers' predecessor as the Green Bay Packers' QB1, and he told Zach Gelb that he expects Rodgers to lift New York to a championship and at least a share of the AFC Championship this season.

He praised the quality of Rodgers' football, saying he was the best ever because he was the best, and also said “probably not the best player as a defender starting in the league right now” than Rodgers.
He also cited New York's defense as something that will give them a chance to win every week.
There's no doubt about the defense — it has several stars, including cornerback Sus Gardner, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and linebacker Jermaine Johnson II.
However, rookie Haason Reddick, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, recently asked to be traded and has sought a contract extension in recent months, a situation the Jets will have to resolve.
Of course, the big question is how Rodgers will play given his overall situation.
If he continues to play at a Pro Bowl level and doesn't lose any real movement, there's every reason to believe the Jets will play until the end of January this season.
