More Information

At first glance, the concept seems similar to ROLI Blocks: Six compact controllers that snap together by means of magnets and tiny pins on all sides to form a custom control surface for any application. From adding trigger buttons and jog wheels to your DJ setup to building a custom DAW controller and mixing surface, anything is possible. The Grid controllers also seem like a perfect fit for multimedia applications that might require a specific set of controls not commonly available.

The six Grid controllers currently available

These are the six modular Grid controllers currently available from Intech:

  • BU16: 16 buttons
  • PO16: 16 rotary potentiometers
  • EN16: 16 rotary encoders
  • EF44: 4 faders and 4 encoders
  • PBF4: 4 faders, 4 potentiometers, 4 buttons
  • TEK2: 2 push jog wheels, 8 buttons

All buttons, knobs and faders are equipped with RGB LEDs for feedback. The controllers snap together magnetically, with small pins carrying the electrical signals. No matter the configuration, the entire grid only requires a single USB-C connection to your computer, which also supplies power to the whole thing.

The Grid Editor software allows you to customize the controls and save and recall configurations, which can also be stored in the controllers for offline use. If you want to dive in deeper, everything is deeply customizable using the Lua scripting language.
