Last month, after the Galaxy Z Fold 6, HONOR had something to say about the “thinner design” that the phone delivered. Now HONOR has decided to poke some fun at Galaxy Z Fold 6 yet again, as the company is preparing for IFA 2024.

If you check out the image below, you’ll see an image that HONOR shared via its social media channels. To that, the company added the “Evolution doesn’t wait. Catch up with the future at #IFA2024”, while tagging the HONOR Magic V3, of course.

In this image, HONOR is promoting the design of the Magic V3, which has already been launched in China. The HONOR Magic V3 is considerably thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and its predecessors.

Its thinnest model measures 9.2mm when folded, and the thicker variant is only 9.3mm. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, in comparison, measures 12.1mm when folded. The Magic V3 is also lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, its two variants measure 226 and 230 grams, compared to 239 grams of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

HONOR highlights the design achievement it reached with the Magic V3

In this image, HONOR placed three Galaxy Z Fold 6 smartphones one next to the other, without mentioning their names. Next to them is the HONOR Magic V3, and the writing between the devices says “Maybe one day you’ll get there…”, poking fun at Samsung, obviously.

The Magic V3 even looks a bit too thin in this image, probably on purpose. It is considerably thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but this is a bit too much. Regardless, it’s quite a bit thinner.

The global variant of the HONOR Magic V3 will become official on September 5. That’s when HONOR will announce the device in Berlin, at IFA. The phone is expected to go on sale much sooner than the Magic V2 did, it took HONOR about 6 months to push the global variant to the market (after the launch).
