Multiple reports have indicated that Apple will launch the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro variant in a new color option. Most recently, a leaked image showed some dummy units of the next-gen iPhone Pro model. The photo showed the alleged iPhone 16 Pro in a bronze hue. Now, Majin Bu, a gadget tipster with a decent track record, suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro’s new color will be called “Desert Titanium”.
iPhone 16 Pro will be available in a new Desert Titanium color model
The tipster has shared an image on X. The photo allegedly shows the camera lens rings for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max variants. Furthermore, the source claims that the “Desert Titanium” color of the iPhone 16 Pro is “kind of dark gold”. Notably, the tipster compares the new colorway to the Deep Purple color variant of the iPhone 14 Pro model, stating the hue will be “relatively discrete and deep”.
As per previous reports, the 16 Pro’s new Desert Titanium model will replace the Blue Titanium color of the iPhone 15 Pro. It will be joining the White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Natural Titanium colorways.
Notably, apart from introducing a new hue, Apple might also introduce changes to the existing color options. The Black Titanium colorway could be significantly darker. Also, the Natural Titanium hue of the iPhone 16 Pro might have a more gray finish. Furthermore, Apple will revert to a stainless steel-like finish for this year’s Pro lineup. It could be similar to the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max variants.
Apple will introduce the iPhone 16 series next month
Apple will introduce the new iPhones at an event at some point in September. This year, the Cupertino tech giant will launch as many as four new iPhone models. These are expected to be called the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. While Apple fans eagerly wait, a recent report suggested that the iPhone 16 upgrades may make you want to wait for the iPhone 17.
The new iPhone 16 series models will reportedly offer the same design as the iPhone 15 series. They are said to offer only four key improvements. These could include an Action button, a Capture button, a larger screen for Pro variants, and the same chipset across the series. Since the launch is a few weeks away, we will know more in the coming days, so stay tuned.
