Studio Deals
Currently, the Thomann 70th Anniversary Sale is still running, with more offers added each month. You can explore the wide range of deals available by simply following the link below:
Roland Bridge Cast
The Roland Bridge Cast is a 4-channel 24-bit 96 kHz audio interface designed for gaming and live streaming applications. With the individual level controls and mute switches, you can balance your mic input, aux, chat, and in-game audio.
Furthermore, the dual-bus architecture allows you to create separate mixes for your streaming audience and the personal monitoring of your gaming experience. There are several ways to customize your workflow and treat the incoming audio.
These include a range of voice effects from Roland’s VT series and compression, EQ, de-esser, reverb, and noise reduction. In addition, the Bridge Cast offers compatibility with consoles, PCs, and mobile devices.
Adam Audio T Series
The popular T Series provides an affordable solution for music production and it’s a great choice as your first pair of studio monitors. The bi-amplified design uses the U-ART ribbon tweeter, offering reduced ear fatigue and a detailed stereo image.
The T Series is versatile too, with inputs for consumer (-10 dBV) and professional (+4 dBu) signal standards. In addition, there are high and low frequency EQ switches on the rear panel, to cut or boost by 2 dB.
This means you can optimize the T Series monitors for your room, reducing problems like the boundary effect or any extra reflectivity you might experience in your listening environment.
Audio-Technica AT2020
The AT2020 is a tried and tested condenser microphone for home recording and is easily one of the best options for under $100. The medium-sized 16mm diaphragm has a cardioid pattern and a maximum SPL of 144 dB.
This means that besides detailed vocal performances, you can happily capture screaming guitar amplifiers or delicate acoustic picking. Furthermore, it’s bright in sonic character, making it ideal for modern music.
Overall, the AT2020 is an ideal choice as your first microphone, and no matter how large your mic locker grows, you will always have your favourite recording applications for it.
Triton Audio FetHead
So you’ve just plugged in your new Shure SM7B only to find that your audio interface doesn’t have enough discrete gain? Meet the Triton Audio FetHead, an in-line mic preamp with a Class A JFET amplifier that boosts your signal by 27 dB.
All you need to do is plug the FetHead into your microphone and activate the phantom power on your audio interface. Immediately the sensitivity of all your low-output dynamic and ribbon mics is improved by the FetHead’s low-noise circuitry.
In addition, the FetHead is useful for live singers, as you might be using a different mic and preamp at every venue. The FetHead will ensure your engineer always has plenty of gain to work with to get a great vocal sound.
SSL G-Comp MKIII
The SSL G-Comp MKIII brings the bus compressor from the famous SL 4000G consoles into the flexible 500-series format. Referred to as the ‘glue compressor’, the G-Comp is one of the most widely known processors for mixing.
Besides the classic auto-release function, you have a choice of six compression ratios (1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10), and a sidechain high-pass filter with five selectable frequencies (30, 60, 105, 125, and 185).
This makes it possible to process stereo vocal, guitar, or drum groups as well as your mix bus without the compressor reacting to the low-end and making it easy to deliver the signature smack for which this compressor is known.
