The new Solar Guitars Assassin is the latest release from Ola Englund’s guitar brand. It is a stripped-back Floyd Rose-equipped machine designed to take out the competition and offer huge metal tones.

Solar Guitars Assassin

This A1.61 FR Assassin model has tasty hardware and a select single-bridge humbucking pickup. Guitarists seeking a cutting-edge instrument for stage and studio will no doubt be captivated by the new Assassin from Solar Guitars.

This sleek, alder-bodied, blacked-out axe boasts a distinctive cutaway scoop and a formidable array of features designed for precision and performance.

Stealth

The carbon black matte finish and aggressive body shape exude a menacing aesthetic that squarely places this new model in the metal genre. A fast, thin maple neck with an ebony fretboard and 24 super-jumbo stainless steel frets ensures effortless playability. Luminlay side dots offer enhanced visibility on dark stages, and locking tuners and locking nut guarantee tuning stability.

A Gotoh GE1996T Floyd Rose-style locking tremolo bridge with a big brass block delivers exceptional sustain and resonance, while mechanically muted tremolo springs eliminate unwanted noise. Making this guitar perfect for high-gain environments.

Nazgul

A single Seymour Duncan USA Nazgul Trembucker pickup provides a powerful yet articulate sound, perfect for a wide range of genres. I love that they went with the red finish, which pops beautifully against the stealthy black matte finish and matches the red twelfth-fret inlay. These little spikes of colour make the guitar look even more weapon-like and enhance the overall aesthetic beautifully.

With its set-thru neck construction, full access to the upper frets, and a single volume knob for streamlined control, the A1.61FR Assassin is a no-nonsense instrument built for serious players.
