Tecno has had a busy year so far. The company introduced a handful of Pova and Camon series devices including the Camon 30 Premier (review) at MWC 2024. In addition, the brand unveiled a handful of new Tecno MEGABOOK series of laptops at Computex 2024 in June. Now, the Chinese manufacturer is all set to launch a new Android tablet after a long time. Ahead of an official announcement, the upcoming Tecno Pad’s alleged design and key specs have surfaced online.
Tecno Pad’s leaked renders have revealed design and color variants
The tech blog Naija Android Arena has posted a handful of press renders of the upcoming Tecno Pad Android tablet. The leaked photos have revealed the Tecno Pad’s design and specs ahead of the official launch. As you can see in the photos, Tecno’s upcoming tablet will have narrow bezels on top and bottom. However, the side bezels of the device will be thicker as compared to the top and bottom bezels.
Furthermore, the leaked images show that the Tecno Pad’s selfie camera will be located inside the left-side bezel. The slate’s volume rocker and power button will be placed towards the top corner of the right side. At the rear, it will have two circular cutouts, one for the camera and one for the LED flash. The tablet will also house dual speakers at the bottom edge.
Tecno Pad will offer a 10.1-inch HD+ display, a Helio G80 SoC, and a 7,000mAh battery
Regarding the specs, the latest leak suggests that the Tecno Pad will be a budget offering. It will sport a 10.1-inch HD+ display with a pixel density of 149ppi. The slate will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, which will be paired with 4GB of RAM. The tablet will arrive in two storage configurations – 128GB and 256GB.
Furthermore, the leak reveals that the Tecno Pad will offer a 13MP primary camera with an LED flash unit. For selfies and video calling purposes, it will offer a 5MP camera. The device will have a USB Type-C port for charging, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.1, and boot Android 14. The tablet will be fuelled by a 7,000mAh battery that will support 18W charging.
According to the source, the Tecno Pad will be available in Wi-Fi-only and 4G LTE connectivity variants. The slate will be offered in Grey and Gold colorways. As of now, there’s no word regarding its pricing, but we expect it to be a pocket-friendly offering. The report indicates that the Tecno Pad will see the light of the day in the coming weeks.
