The new Jackson American Series Virtuoso HT series has been announced. It offers a hardtail guitar with high-end specifications. They complement the standard Virtuoso equipped with a Floyd Rose, released in 2023.
Jackson American Series Virtuoso HT
These Californian-built Jackson American Series Virtuoso HT models are loaded with two Seymour Duncan pickups and come with a Speed Neck. They are designed for high-performance playing, rock-solid tuning stability, and great sustain.
Speed Neck
The Speed Neck is constructed with a five-piece multiple laminated caramelized maple reinforced with graphite rods. It is topped with a 12′′-16′′ compound fretboard made of striped-grained ebony fitted with 24 jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl offset dots. The neck has Luminlay side dots and a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel.
The alder body is available in Satin Black, Red Crystal, Snow White, and Mystic Blue. It features a colour-matched, bound Jackson pointed 6-in-line headstock.
Hipshot
This new HT version of the Virtuoso has a Hipshot hardtail bridge, which means better sustain and solid timing stability. All the hardware on these models is black, including the Gotoh MG-T locking tuners and Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons.
Seymour Duncan
This model comes with the Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 bridge pickup and Seymour Duncan ’59 SH-1N neck pickup. These two humbucking pickups are controlled with a five-way blade pickup switch, single volume control, and single tone control.
They come with a Jackson Foam Core Case included in the price.
Verdict
Some excellent specifications and four decent colour options will make these new Virtuoso HT models appealing to any guitarists who prefer a hardtail SuperStrat. The Hipshot bridge is a solid piece of hardware and a good choice for this overall design.
