Meet this Canvas Power HP from Walrus Audio. A power supply for all of your pedals and amp modelers.

Another new release from Walrus Audio here, accommodating the rise of amp modellers and guitar effects pedals.

This new Canvas Power HP unit aims to deliver mains electricity to power hungry pedal boards. Of course, this HP joins an existing family of units that are already available.

As the predecessors propose, the number that follows the Canvas Power name suggests how many isolated outputs are available per unit.

3 Isolated Outputs for Effects Pedals

With this high power model, we’re working with 3 isolated 9v 500mA outputs.

Aside from hefty standalone pedals, this Canvas Power HP is an ideal solution for hybrid pedals for live use. Compatible with units such as the Quad Cortex and the legendary HX Stomp.

I think that this smaller unit, compared to the potential 22 output products, will be popular amongst gigging guitarists. Over the years, players are opting for standalone multi effects. Therefore, they’ll just require a smaller power supply.

Stage Ready

Totally compatible for any stage, the HP comes with an external power-supply-unit for stand-alone usage. Moreover, we’ve also got a 24V link cable which will be useful when expanding to existing Canvas Power power supplies.

Pricing

Upon release, this HP power supply will retail at 259 EUR / 225 GBP for the model with the included 12v supply. Whereas, should you want the 24v link cable, you’re looking at 239 EUR / 205 GBP.

Overall, this looks to be a perfect solution to powering larger effects pedals whilst performing live. Walrus Audio claim that one of their units will elevate the pedalboard experience. We wouldn’t call it a gamechanger, but it’ll certainly have its uses.
