Don't Show Again Yes, I would!

New Pixel 9 Pro Fold leak shows off camera quality

Following several leaks for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and the other Pixel 9 series phones over the past week, as well as the recent Pixel Watch 3 leak, more leaks have popped up for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in what look like promo images.

At least a few of the images have leaked before as part of a bigger leak featuring some of the phone’s promo images from back on August 1. So this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a few of these images. That being said, there are a few new shots in here worth noting.

At least one image shows off what seems to be the camera quality of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It’s unclear if the image was taken with the phone’s front-facing camera or the main camera on the back. But it appears to be showcasing the device’s portrait photo capabilities.

Another image is showcasing the zoom capabilities of the main camera. Judging from the image it’s using Google’s Super Res Zoom technology. With the phone being able to zoom up to 20x. This image has been seen before as well in the previous leak from the beginning of the month. It’s a little more blown up here though making it slightly easier to see the zoom feature.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold promo images drive up the excitement

While there’s not a lot in this leak that hasn’t been shown off already, it still gets the excitement rolling for what Google will be showing off on August 13. You get a decent look at the utility of having a folding device if nothing else. For instance, one of the best things about having something like the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be the ability to have two apps running side by side. Another nice feature will be the ability to fold the phone to 90 degrees and have it propped up to watch videos on YouTube.

Because the video is easily visible with the part of the screen that’s facing you. Meanwhile, playback controls are present on the part of the screen that’s lying flat. I did this often while reviewing the Galaxy Z Flip 6. And it was one of my favorite parts about the phone.

The benefit obviously with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is that it’s a larger display. So you get bigger video windows.

It’ll be a little while before you can get your hands on the phone

As per our previously exclusive leak, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold isn’t shipping until September. Obviously this hasn’t been confirmed by Google. If the timing is accurate though, it’ll be at least two weeks after Google’s announcement of the phone. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to cost $1,799.99. That means it will retain the same cost as the original while receiving a few upgrades.
