Samsung has quietly rolled out a new update for the Quick Share app. The latest update for the Quick Share application doubles the daily file-sharing limit, when shared using links, QR codes, or with contacts. The company has made it easier to share large files via Quick Share with the latest app update.
The new Quick Share app update doubles the file-sharing limit to 10GB
Samsung has rolled out version 13.6.51.13 for the Quick Share for Galaxy phones and tablets. The updated application doubles the daily file-sharing limit to 10GB from 5GB earlier, when shared using links or QR codes.
Notably, the increased size benefit is also available when you are sharing files directly with your contacts. This comes in handy when sharing large files with iPhone users or other platform users.
The update also improves user experience with clearer device names and more
The new version of Quick Share also aims to improve the user experience. It offers improved device identification by showing two lines for the names of nearby devices. In addition, the incoming file transfer notifications now display the total file size. So you can easily identify what’s coming in.
The Galaxy phone and tablet users can download the latest updated version of the Quick Share app from the Galaxy Store. It’s worth mentioning that the update to the app is being released gradually, so it’s not available for everyone yet.
For those unaware, Quick Share is the brand’s own file-sharing app that works over wireless networks. It allows you to locally share files between Galaxy smartphones, apart from tablets. In addition, it lets users share any type of file between non-Galaxy products over the web. It can be done using links, QR codes, or contacts. Notably, Google partnered with Samsung to merge Android’s Nearby Share into Quick Share to offer a more unified platform.
