Ogilvy Group Thailand crowned APAC Agency of the Year in Campaign Brief’s The Work 2024; GIGIL Manila, DDB Mudra India, VML Australia, DDB Australia + Thinkerbell Australia make up top 6

The 22nd year of Campaign Brief’s THE WORK was a record breaker. This year a total of 226 agencies and production companies in APAC submitted entries to Campaign Brief’s THE WORK. This is up from 192 agencies and production companies that entered THE WORK in 2023 and 177 who entered in 2022. THE WORK 2024 was also a record year for entries with 4,189 received.

 

Campaign Brief’s THE WORK is recognised as a true record of creativity for the entire APAC region. THE WORK features the very best advertising of the year from Asia, Australia and New Zealand and this year there was a record 4,189 entries to Campaign Brief’s THE WORK with the most entries coming from Australia (1324), the Philippines (563), Thailand (556), India (404) and New Zealand (293).

TOP 12 APAC AGENCIES IN THE WORK 2024

The top performing agency in 2024 in the Asia Pacific region is Ogilvy Group Thailand with 46 entries making the cut from the 177 entries submitted by the agency. Their strong showing sees them named APAC’s Agency of the Year in THE WORK 2024.

Ogilvy Group Thailand has been a strong performer in THE WORK over recent years having also been the #1 ranked agency in APAC in 2019 and 2020, and placing #2 overall in APAC last year in THE WORK 2023.

This year, their 46 Acceptances came from notable work including Colgate ‘The Boxer’, Voiz ‘The Hand’, Delight ‘Not Very Sweet’, Krungsri Auto Broker ‘Deal of the Dazed’, Thai Life Insurance ‘Under My Skin’ and more.

Other accepted work came from work for clients like Café Amazon, Car4Cash, CMDF, CP Group, Dutchie, MG, TikTok Shop Branding and multiple campaigns for Burger King.

GIGIL Manila has also been a consistent performer, ranking in THE WORK’s top 5 for the past 5 years. This year they reached their highest ranking of #2 overall in APAC with 44 Acceptances.

DDB Mudra Group India has jumped up  from equal #11 in 2023, to #3 overall in APAC this year. DDB Mudra are also the top performing agency in India for the third straight year.

At #4 overall is last year’s APAC Agency of the Year, VML Australia with 38 Acceptances.

With 34 Acceptances, DDB Australia are in #5 position overall in APAC. DDB Australia ranked at #12 in APAC in THE WORK 2022 before moving up to #4 overall in APAC  last year. DDB is the only network with two agencies in THE WORK 2024 APAC Top 10.

Thinkerbell Australia are big improvers in The Work 2024, ranking at #6 overall and up from #50 last year. The agency had 33 Acceptances.

For the fourth straight year Deloitte Digital Australia has made the APAC top 10. Their 31 Acceptances in THE WORK 2024 places them at #7 in APAC.

Equal #8 in APAC, are China based agencies; Banana Balloon Shenzhen and The Nine Shanghai with 29 Acceptances each.

#10 in APAC and #1 in New Zealand is Special New Zealand with 27 entries being accepted.

Rounding out our Top 12 agencies are Howatson+Company Australia and Ogilvy Australia in equal #11 position with 25 Acceptances each. Both agencies also made the Top 12 in APAC last year.

Along with GIGIL, TBWA\SMP is always a strong performer in Campaign Brief’s The Work. This year they rank #2 in The Philippines, #4 overall in Asia and #14 overall in APAC.
