This week’s guest judge is Gabriela Lungu, executive creative director at Publicis UK and founder of WINGS Creative Leadership Lab.

Winner: Bodyform/Libresse ‘Never Just a Period‘. My gut… I mean my womb tells me there’s not a woman or person with periods out there who doesn’t resonate with this ad, so I obviously do too. What’s fresh and works particularly well in my view is the addition of the old paintings – dozens of faces of exasperated, suffering, worried women, rolling their eyes in annoyance and disbelief at centuries of being minimised or dismissed. Paired with the female-only orchestra, you get a sense of timeless solidarity and timely support. I love how the brand and the agency find new ways of being both consistent and surprising and how their work doesn’t feel formulaic. CONTINUE READING…
