PresentDayProduction MUM-10 was demoed at GearFest UK this month, and the waiting list for the latest 3-way monitor speaker is now open.

The upgradeable modular studio monitor company has created quite a buzz around the MUM series monitors in the short time since they began producing the 2-way MUM-6 and 3-way MUM-8 monitors.

The basic premise behind PDP is by engineers for engineers. Mark and James developed the concept out of necessity when Mark began to get requests from labels for Dolby Atmos mixes.

Due to the astronomical costs involved with outfitting a studio with 16 high-end monitors, the pair teamed up and decided to create their own design using the best components and technology currently available.

Like the MUM-8, the new flagship MUM-10 uses BlieSMa midrange drivers and tweeters. However, the MUM-10 uses the new 10-inch Purifi PTT10 ultra-low distortion bass driver, and all drivers are powered by Hypex N-Core amp modules.

The MUM monitors are available in nine different colours, and the 3-way variants have the option to be configured with Berrylium high-frequency drivers at an additional cost of £1,500.

Another core aspect of the PDP brand is the DTC business model, which in the context of high-end monitors, saves you a good deal financially.
